Specifies whether the records should be unique or not.

  has_many :pets
end

person.pets.select(:name)
# => [

#    ]

person.pets.select(:name).distinct
# => [#<Pet name: "Fancy-Fancy">]

person.pets.select(:name).distinct.distinct(false)
